Lesson Cancellation Policy

Thank you for training with us. Each lesson time is reserved just for your player, so here is how cancellations work.

Cancelling a lesson

Please cancel at least 24 hours before the lesson starts by text or phone call.

Late cancellations

Cancelling with less than 24 hours' notice is charged the full lesson price.

Missed lessons

Missing a lesson without cancelling is charged the full lesson price.

Arriving late

Lessons end at their scheduled time, so arriving late shortens the lesson. If your player hasn't arrived 15 minutes after the start, the lesson counts as missed.

Illness or injury

If your player is sick or injured, let us know before the lesson starts and there is no charge.

Weather

If we cancel because of weather or field conditions, you are never charged, and we'll find a new time together. We'll let you know at least 2 hours before the lesson.

If we cancel

If we need to cancel for any other reason, you are never charged, and we'll find a new time together.

Questions

What should a private lesson cancellation policy include?

How much notice you need, what a late cancellation or a missed lesson costs, and what happens with weather, illness, late arrivals, your own cancellations and lesson packages. This generator covers each one.

How much notice should I ask for?

Many coaches ask for 24 hours: long enough to offer the time to someone else, short enough to be fair to families. Ask for more if your schedule is full or you travel to lessons.

Should I charge for late cancellations?

A charge is what makes a notice period mean something. A policy families read before they book is far easier to stand behind than one explained after a missed lesson. Some coaches forgive the first late cancellation each season; you can include that here.

Is anything I type saved or sent anywhere?

No. The policy is written in your browser, and nothing you type leaves it. Copy it or print it before you close the page.

Is this legal advice?

No. It's a plain-English starting point. Rules on fees and refunds vary by state, so check it fits where you coach.
